FAQ
How does screen printing work?
See the section below for a thorough explanation on the process.

What is your order minimum?
Our minimum order is 12 Pieces

What kind of artwork do I need to provide?
For best results, artwork should be 300dpi, vectorized/rasterized, and provided in original format, such as .ai or .psd files. Make sure that all text is outlined. PNG or PDF files are preferred if AI/PSD files are not available. The higher quality the artwork, the higher quality the print, so it is always best to send over the highest resolution file that you have available. If you are unsure if your artwork is usable, don't hesitate to send us what you have, and we'll let you know what is possible. If you need help with artwork, we also provide design services.

What type of garments can you print on?
Generally we can print on anything that has a smooth surface, and can be laid flat. This includes shirts, hoodies, sweatpants, shorts, bags, aprons, bodysuits, underwear, bandanas, etc.

What type of garments do you offer?
We have a vast selection of apparel and accessories from a wide variety of brands. This includes Gildan, Tultex, Next Level, Bella+Canvas, Comfort Colors, Los Angeles Apparel, American Apparel, Independent Trading Co., Shaka Wear, Hanes, and more. Contact us for an extensive list of options, or if you have a particular brand you're looking to use.

What locations can I get printed?
We offer standard front/back printing, as well as non-standard locations such as sleeves, pant legs, hoods, pockets, etc. We like a challenge, so if you have an unusual spot you'd like to print on, we'll let you know if it's possible.

What kind of ink do you offer?
We have dozens of in stock ink colors, including specialty ink such as puff, glow in the dark, glitter, fluorescent, etc. We also offer custom color matching for a fee if you need a specific color. Otherwise, ink color will be matched to your artwork based on the closest in stock match. Contact us for specific ink availability.

Can I provide my own garments?
Yes, you can provide your own garments. However, we can usually supply garments at wholesale pricing through our vendors. Pricing for customer supplied (contract) printing can be found on our pricing page.

Can you print full color graphics?
Yes! Many customers come to us with vibrant, full color graphics or pictures, such as those seen in our gallery. There are limitations, however, and we'll let you know if your artwork needs to be modified. We can print a maximum of 6 colors, but through blending and half-toning, we can create gradients that replicate the full color spectrum. We also offer CMYK simulated process printing.

Are there graphics you won't print?
We're usually pretty relaxed when it comes to artwork, so if your design features curse words or risque/inappropriate material, we won't mind. However, graphics that feature hate/racism, copyrighted work, or similar material will be rejected.

Basics of Screen Printing
Screen printing is the process of using a mesh screen to print designs onto a surface. Each screen is essentially a stencil, through which ink is pushed onto the surface below using a squeegee. For printing on apparel, we use plastisol ink, which is an oil based ink that cures through the use of heat.
As you can see in the accompanying video, we create a screen for each color/element in a design, which combine to create the full graphic.
